Bhubaneswar, July 29: Intercontinental Consultants and Technocrats Pvt. Ltd. (ICT) has released the first picture of Bhubaneswar metro station after it won the bid for Bhubaneswar Metro Phase 1 project’s Detailed Design Consultant (DDC) contract BCDD-02 by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC).
The company has released the design of Bhubaneswar metro station and its adjoining markets. It will make design of the metro project from Biju Patnaik Airport to Phulapokhari Depot and its Operational Control Centre (OCC)’s architectural, electrical & mechanical (E&M), traction and civil works.
DMRC had invited bids for design contract in March 2024. Technical bids were opened on May 22 to reveal 3 bidders and ICT won the bid at Rs 13.04 as the lowest bidder.
The DMRC had floated tender for 19 metro stations and track laying in three phases. A total of 20 metro stations will be constructed between Bhubaneswar Airport and Trishulia. As the Bhubaneswar Airport is yet to approve the metro station inside its premises, tenders were floated for 19 stations.
A total Rs 2163 crore has been estimated for construction of the 19 metro stations.
