New Delhi, October 13: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has named Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav as central observers for the upcoming Haryana BJP legislature party meeting.

This meeting will elect the next Chief Minister of Haryana, following the state's recent assembly elections.

Nayab Singh Saini, the caretaker Chief Minister, and the BJP's CM candidate, won the Ladwa assembly seat by defeating Congress candidate Mewa Singh by over 16,000 votes.

Despite early trends indicating a possible Congress win, the BJP secured a third consecutive victory, winning 48 seats in the 90-member Haryana assembly.

The new Haryana cabinet is set to take oath on October 17 in Panchkula, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several BJP Chief Ministers expected to attend.

Former CM Manohar Lal Khattar confirmed the Prime Minister’s attendance at the event.
