Cuttack, Feb 5: The Orissa High Court on Thursday allowed appointment of as many as 2,753 Multi-purpose Health Workers (MPHW) pulling off the restriction imposed on the recruitment.
Following the HC’s directions, an orientation programme for these new appointees was scheduled for February 7 by the Health & Family Welfare (H&FW) Department.
Worth mentioning, in September 2024, the OSSSC had declared the results of MPHW with an aim to fill up a total of 2,753 vacancies across the state.
However, several candidates had moved the Orissa High court challenging the OSSSC MPHW recruitment citing errors in the answer sheets. Hearing the petitions, the Orissa High Court had stayed the appointment of MPHW till further orders.
