Bhubaneswar: ‘Balwaan’ star Suniel Shetty is known in bollywood for his terrific action image. He became an overnight star after his debut film titled Balwaan released in the year 1992.
The muscular actor has been regarded as the superstar of 90s. He won the Filmfare award for Best Villain for playing the antagonist role in film Dhadkan , also starring Akshay Kumar. Akshay Kumar – Suniel Shetty combo received high appreciation from the audience during the 90s and early 2000s. Cinephile loved thsi combo from Mohra to Hera Pheri.
The actor who is now appearing in Naadaniyan, the debut film of Saif Ali Khan’s son Ibrahim Ali Khan, seems very excited.
The reason behind his excitement has been that Hera Pheri 3 will mark the return of its original director Priyadarshan.
SUNIEL SHETTY GOES NOSTALGIC
The action star of 90s, sharing his excitement in an interview, said “I think Priyadarshan sir is the original and the only one who can make Hera Pheri 3. I am super excited about that. He is someone who knows comedy like the back of his palm. He is a great scriptwriter, and he is writing himself again. He’s got an extraordinary script.”
Suniel said he is confident that the franchise will deliver yet another ‘Blockbuster’ with the third instalment.
HERA PHERI SHOOT TO COMMENCE BY DEC 2025
As per the earlier reports, Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal will commece shooting Hera Pheri 3 in December 2025.
Director Priyadarshan is currently busy with Bhooth Bangla. Reports suggest that he will complete its editing, VFX, and post-production by mid-2025.
Post wrapping up the project Bhhot Bangla, Priyadarshan will focus entirely on fine tuning the Hera Pheri 3 script before shooting begins.
The basic storyline, character arcs, and plot structure are already in place, and the next few months will be spent fine-tuning the humour and ensuring it stays true to the beloved trio of Raju, Shyam, and Baburao.
The film is expected to be shot over six months (from December 2025 to May 2026) with the makers targeting a theatrical release in late 2026.
SUNIEL SHETTY is also excited for another reason. As his son-in-law Indian wicketkeeper KL Rahul and daughter Athiya Shetty are expecting birth of their first child, the actor seems on cloud nine.
Suniel is playing the role lead actress Khushi Kapoor’s father in the upcoming film Nadaaniyan. It is directed by Shauna Gautam, who has previously worked as an associate director on Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani.
