Bhubaneswar, January 29: As winter comes to a close, Odisha is bracing for a sharp increase in temperatures, with the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasting a significant rise beginning tomorrow.
According to the IMD, the heat will intensify over the next week, with temperatures expected to soar by 2 to 4 degrees above the usual levels. The department also stated that there is little chance of rain in the state for the next five to seven days, with dry weather expected to dominate.
Manorama Mohanty, Director of the IMD in Bhubaneswar, noted, “There will be no significant change in the minimum temperature over the next 24 hours, but we anticipate an increase of 2 to 3 degrees Celsius afterward.”
Additionally, a fog warning has been issued for the next three days. Starting tomorrow, both daytime and nighttime temperatures are expected to rise, leading to warmer conditions across the entire state. The recent rise in temperature across most cities signals the end of the winter season.
