Bhubaneswar, Ap 2: The regional centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that effect of Kalabaishakhi will be seen in 15 districts of Odisha today.
As per the Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar, thunderstorm with lightning accompanied with gusty surface wind speed reaching 40- 50 KMPH is also very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, Deogarh, Angul, Sambalpur, Sonepur, Boudh, Bargarh, Bolangir, Nuapada, Kalahandi, Nabarangpur, and Koraput.

An orange warning has been sounded for nine districts, including Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Boudh, Sundargarh, Jharsuguda, and Sambalpur, with winds reaching speeds of 50-60 km/h and thunderstorms.
On April 4(Friday)
Heavy rains and gusty winds reaching 60 km/h are expected in Malkangiri, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Balasore, Bhadrak, Angul, Rayagada, and Koraput. Other regions like Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, and Gajapati will witness winds of 50-60 km/h, along with rainfall and thunderstorms.
People in the affected regions are advised to stay alert and take precautions against possible hazards.
