New Delhi, January 18: Former Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal's car was reportedly pelted with stones during a campaign in the New Delhi constituency on Saturday, the party claimed.
According to an AAP leader, the incident involved supporters of BJP’s New Delhi candidate, Parvesh Verma. “Kejriwal was attacked during his campaign in the constituency,” the AAP leader alleged.
However, the police refuted the claims, stating that no stones were thrown at Kejriwal's vehicle. “A group of individuals attempting to wave black flags at the former Chief Minister was promptly removed from the scene,” a police official said.
A video of the incident, widely circulated on social media, shows Kejriwal seated in his vehicle as police officers clear the path. The footage also captures a man waving a black cloth and an object, possibly a stone, being thrown in the direction of the vehicle.
