Bhubaneswar, Aug 12: International Youth Day is celebrated on August 12. It is designed as an opportunity for governments and others to raise awareness of the issues facing youth around the world. On the occasion of International Youth Day, various activities such as concerts, seminars, cultural events and gatherings of schools and other educational institutions are organized to engage young people and bring their voices, actions and initiatives into the mass stream. The day is commemorated every year with a theme according to its actuality. This year's theme is "Transforming Food Systems: Youth Innovations for Human and Planetary Health". Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik also tweeted on the occasion of International Youth Day. "Investment in youth is an investment in future.
