Bhubaneswar: Ahead of the One-day international match between India against England scheduled to be held at Barabati Stadium in Cuttack on 9th February 2025. The Sports and Youth Services Minister Surayabanshi Suraj conducted a preparatory meeting here at Kalinga Stadium on Tuesday.
The Odisha Cricket Association (OCA) will host an ODI after a gap of seven years at Barabati Stadium which has a capacity of 44,524 and priced between Rs 800 to Rs 20,000.
In the joint meeting with different stakeholders for the successful hosting of the international cricket match. In view of the cricket lovers interest the Sports Minister proposed to the OCA officials to reconsider the ticket price. In particular gallery 1,2,3,4 and 7, special enclosure and A C gallery box price should be reduced to attract many more common men.
In the past many instances were recorded about the black marketing of tickets. The Minister also emphasised the OCA make maximum number counters for the ticket sale and ensure a dashboard to display the availability of the tickets in each and every counter".
Minister also said “players security and safety will be the priority for his government, simultaneously the spectators must watch the match with true sportsmanship. The State government along with all stakeholders will extend all possible support to conduct a hassle free international cricket match on 9th February 2025 at Barabati Stadium, Cuttack”.
