Bhubaneswar: Kid Abhishek Bachchan often accompanied father Amitabh Bachchan to most of the film sets. He used to hang out there and get through the shooting sequences of his father-acted movies. It was like his first experience with the complex film shoots. Even today, Abhishek go nostalgic about the moments when he used to hang around on the sets of Big B’s films.
An anticlimax once happened in the year 1982/83, when Junior Bachchan was banned from the sets of a movie, where Amitabh Bachchan is the lead hero. The reason for being banned had also been very disgusting.
Kid Abhishek Bachchan was banned for bad behavior.
WHAT A CALL?
Well known film director Ramesh Bhel has a very cordial relation with Amitabh Bachchan. In fact, he directed 1978 mega hit Kasme Vaade with Amitabh in the lead role. After the super success, Bhel signed Amitabh Bachchan for his next movie Pukar. The film went on to the floor in 1979. However, it took 4 –years to hit the silver screen.
Pukar was released on Nov 18, 1983, 41 years ago. Directed by Ramesh Behl, the film starred Amitabh Bachchan, Randhir Kapoor, Zeenat Aman and Tina Munim. It is a film about freedom fighters trying to liberate Goa from the Portuguese. Jagdish Aurangabadkar a popular film photographer played the hangman in the climax of the film.
Collection of film suffered two weeks after its release due to Coolie releasing .But managed to complete 100 days at some centers. The film completed silver jubilee in Calcutta's Opera House Theater.
ABHISHEK TURNED BADDIE
Goldie Behl, hubby of Sonali Bendre, and son of Ramesh Behl, who had made is directorial debut with film Bas Itna Sa Khwaab Hai in 2001 with Abhisekh Bachchan, Rani Mukherji in lead was around 8 years old. Abhisekh Bacchan was then around 6-7 years old.
Despite being kids, both engaged in sensational fights that it distracted Amitabh Bachchan and Ramesh Behl from the shoot. The fights between Abhishek and Goldie didn’t subside, as the kid-fight opera lingered affecting the film shooting, the film unit decided to ban both Abhishek Bachchan and Goldie Behl from the sets of the film.
The harsh decision was taken by the film unit as the kid-fights resulted in constant distraction for both Amitabh Bachchan and Ramesh Behl.

Like Ramesh Behl’s Kasme Vaade, Randhir Kapoor was playing the second lead in the film Pukar. Kareena Kappor as a kid was also accompanying father Randhir Kapoor on to the sets. There was a scene where Big B rained blows on Randhir. Panicked at seeing her father beaten black and blue, she ran towards Randhir Kapoor and hugged him tightly to prevent the Big B ‘filmy’ onslaught.

- RD Burman sang almost all songs for Amitabh, Kishore sang for Randhir.
- REASON: Might be due to Amitabh’s refusal to do a guest appearance in Kishore's film.
- The popular number "Tu Maike Mat Jaiyo", has a story.
- R.D. Burman did a riff on his father's S.D.Burman's song, "Sun Mere Bandhu Re". The original song was used in the movie "Sujata" (1959).
- In the movie Pukar they used the line and changed it to "Suno Mere Lambu Re..." The "lambu" in this line referred to Amitabh Bachchan who played the lead role in the film and also sang this song.
- Randhir Kapoor's major film and also one of his last film as leading actor. Randhir Kapoor was a regular in Ramesh Behl film, Pukar was their last film together.
- Some of the background music of Pukar was used in Anil Kapoor-Jackie Shroff starred film Andhar Bahar.
- Last time Amitabh Bachchan and Zeenat Aman worked with each other.
