Jammu, Oct 4: KonarkSuryasOdisha registered their second win in the Legends League Cricket 2024 as they defeated India Capitals by 5 runs at the Molana Azad Stadium in Jammu on Friday.
India Capitals won the toss and elected to bowl first in the match. For KonarkSuryasOdisha, Richard Levi and Jesse Ryder opened the innings. Both the batters were dismissed cheaply as Iqbal Abdulla provided the early breakthrough in the innings. Levi made 1 from 3 balls and Ryder added just 3 from 10 balls. Kevin O’Brien remained the top scorer in the innings as he scored 55* from 46 balls. DilshanMunaweera added 33 from 44 balls. Yusuf Pathan made 12 from 13 balls. With a target of 128 on the board, Dwayne Smith and FaizFazal came out to bat for India Capitals. Smith was dismissed by DiweshPathania without opening his account. Fazal made 9 from 22 balls. Ian Bell added 10 from 13 balls. Bharat Chipli remained on the crease till the end of the match and scored 61* from 48 balls but couldn’t help his team win the match. No other batter could reach the two figure mark in the match. At the end, India Capitals could manage to post 122/7 in 20 overs.
