Maha Kumbh Mela 2025: Meet "Anaj Wale Baba”- the Sadhu growing green crops on his head

Prayagraj, Jan 17: At Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, a large number of saints and sages have gathered, attracting crowds eager to seek their blessings.

Among them is ‘Anaj Wale Baba’, a figure who has caught the attention of many. Known for the green crop growing on his head, ‘Anaj Wale Baba’ has pulled crowd, leading to questions about his unusual appearance.

Some YouTubers even asked Baba to remove the cloth covering his head for a closer look. This request angered the Baba, who firmly refused to uncover his head, even threatening the people to leave. 

It appeared that the YouTuber, who had approached Baba in the morning with a small offering of tea, was trying to gain views. However, Baba did not allow this for the sake of social media content.

Following the viral video of the incident, many people criticized the YouTuber for disturbing the peaceful saints at the Kumbh Mela. But Baba, in a recent video, revealed the truth about the crop on his head. 

In the new clip, Baba removes the cloth from his head to show the roots growing beneath his hair, which have turned into a green crop. This revelation has gone viral, gaining over 21 million views and 1.45 million likes since its post on December 30.

The video has sparked a wave of reactions, with many users praising Baba and expressing admiration for his unique spiritual journey.

Commenters have flooded the section, with one user stating, "Our Hindu religion is sustained by saints like him," while others, impressed by the Baba’s divine presence, have written, “I’m going next time!" Many have also joined in chanting “Har Har Mahadev” in the comment section, showing their respect and reverence.
