Bhubaneswar, February 26: The holy Mahadipa was lifted atop the Shree Lingaraj temple in Bhubaneswar late at night on Wednesday on the Maha Shivaratri among tens of thousands of devotees.
Prime servitors of the temple placed the sacred lamp atop the temple at about 10.40 Pm following day-long rituals amid bhajans and kirtans.
Having darshan of the sacred Mahadipa placed atop the temple, devotees and Brata Dharis concluded their worships and ended their sheer fasting with enchanting ‘Om Namah Shivaya’ and ‘Har Har Mahadev’.
