Sudan, February 26: In a tragic incident, at least 46 people were killed when a Military Aircraft of Sudan crashed in a residential area.
The incident took place near the Wadi Sayidna Military Airport in the capital's twin city Omdurman late on Tuesday, said reports.
Sudanese military sources said that the plane crash was most likely due to technical reasons. The media office of the army mentioned that, apart from the casualties at least 10 people were rescued having crtitical injuries in their body.
Among those killed was Major General Bahr Ahmed, a senior Commander in Khartoum who previously served as the commander of the Sudanese army.
