Kalahandi, Feb 12: In a horrific incident, two siblings were burnt alive after their hut caught fire in Lanjigarh block of Odisha’s Kalahandi district.
The deceased have been identified as children of Bisi Majhi and Susari Majhi and the incident has been reported from Talabora village under Lanjigarh block.
Two siblings, a five-year-old boy and a four-year-old girl, were playing inside the hut when their makeshift hut caught fire.
As per reports, the freak mishap took place on Tuesday when the two siblings, a five-year-old boy and a four-year-old girl, were playing inside their makeshift hut made of dry leaves and twigs and it caught fire.
The kids were trapped inside the hut and despite their mother’s frantic efforts to save them, they were burnt alive.
A pal of gloom descended on the village following the tragic incident.
