Daringbadi, February 12: In an unprecedented incident, a newborn girl’s body was found disposed of in hospital toilet in Odisha’s Daringbadi area.
The incident made headlines after the newborn girl’s body was found half way in the toilet pan of Daringbadi Community Health Centre in Kandhamal district on Wednesday.
According to the hospital authorities, the infant's body which was allegedly pushed into the pan was recovered by the fire brigades. The underage mother committed it in an attempt to conceal her sin.
The hospital sources also added that, the minor girl who delivered the girl in the men’s toilet had registered her name complaining of severe abdominal pain.
The sensitive matter is under investigation.The underage mother is now under observation. Action will be initiated after she comes stable, said Daringbadi Police.
