Bhubaneswar, Sept 17: One of the most awaited films of the year, "Villain," is all set to hit theaters on October 9, on the occasion of Dussehra. Produced by Adilaxmi Entertainment, the film is expected to be the most expensive Odia movie ever made.
Directed by K Murali Krishna, "Villain" features a diverse cast including Ardhendu, Tamanna, Samaresh Routray, Bobby Mishra, Krishna Kar, Hara Rath, Rabi Mishra, Usasi Mishra, Udit Guru, and Ilu Banerjee. The screenplay is penned by Debidutta Mohanty, with music composed by Japani Bhai and lyrics by Tapu Nayak, Bapu Goswami, and Ranjan Nayak. Pratap Rout handles the cinematography, while Manas Kumar Sahoo serves as the editor. The film’s background score is created by Nabs & Saroj, and the choreography is done by Lubun-Tubun and Biddu.
In "Villain," Ardhendu plays a young man from a small town who courageously confronts a local gang leader. Ironically, he finds himself caught between two rival gangs and must rise to defend his own existence.
The film’s audio is released under the label Sidharth Music, and the production house has yet to disclose the exact budget, though it is anticipated to be a landmark in Odia cinema.
With its impressive team and high production values, "Villain" is generating significant buzz ahead of its release.
