Bhubaneswar, Nov 9: Odia IAS Officer Archana Patnaik, is going to head the Chief Electoral Office Tamil Nadu.
Patnaik who was serving as the MSME Secretary in Odisha, has been appointed as the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) of Tamil Nadu following approval of the Odisha government.
Patnaik would replace Satyabrata Sahoo who also hails from Odisha to hold the post of CEO, Tamil Nadu.
Archana also served as Collector of Coimbatore and was the first woman to be appointed to the post in the district since 1945.
She had joined Odisha cadre on inter-state deputation in November 2017 on her personal representation. Later, she was appointed MD, National Health Mission, with additional charge of MD, Odisha State Medical Corporation Ltd.
Archana Patnaik had also served as Special Secretary in Water Resources Department, Odisha before 2020.
