CM,

Bhubaneswar, February 12: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, in the presence of Assembly Speaker Surama Padhy, inaugurated the ‘Digital House’ in the Odisha Legislative Assembly on Wednesday. The initiative, implemented under the National e-Vidhan Application (NeVA), marks a significant step toward a paperless legislative system.

Under this transformation, all 147 MLAs will be equipped with tablets, enabling digital transactions for legislative proceedings. The shift aims to enhance efficiency, improve transparency, and significantly reduce paper usage, reinforcing the state's commitment to eco-friendly governance.

Powered by the National Informatics Centre (NIC), NeVA provides seamless digital access to legislative documents, reports, and materials, replacing traditional paperwork with an advanced digital interface.

The launch comes just ahead of the Assembly’s budget session, starting February 13, which will be held in two phases. The first phase will conclude on February 21, while the second will resume on March 7. A major highlight of the session will be CM Majhi’s presentation of the full budget for the 2025-26 financial year on February 17. The session will commence with the Governor’s address on February 13.
