Bhubaneswar, March 26: The Odisha Assembly is yet chaotic this evening despite the Speaker’s statement centring mass suspension of Congress MLAs.
The Opposition Congress & BJD resorted to a walkout terming the Speaker’s statement, one-sided and biased.
In order to calm down the disruption and to continue the House business with utmost normalcy, that’s going on from the last few days amid an unprecedented commotion, Speaker Surama Padhee issued a formal statement before the house. In her statement she pronounced that all the Congress MLAs were suspendended for their deliberate disruption in the assembly.
Following this, the Congess Legislators raised voice against the Speaker & the BJP government, and took to a mass walkout.
Similary, BJD Chief Whip Pramila Mallik expressed the dissonance of her party over the statement issued by the Speaker.
The BJD Whip accompanied by the legislators staged a demonstration over the matter and withdrew the party’s co-operation in managing the business of the Assemly in ease.
