Bhubaneswar, Apr 2: The evaluation of answer sheets for the Odisha Plus-Two examinations conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) began today amid tight security.
As per reports, around 16,000 teachers have been assigned for the evaluation process, which will be completed in two phases.
A total of 148 evaluation centers have been set up across the state. Of these, 78 centers will conduct offline evaluation, while 70 centers will conduct online evaluations.
The first phase will run from April 2 to April 14, in which about 3,500 teachers will check online answer sheets, and 4,500 teachers will evaluate offline copies. The second phase will take place from April 16 to April 28, in which another 8,000 teachers will be assigned.
This year, a total of 24 lakh answer sheets are to be assessed. These include 15 lakh offline copies and 9 lakh online copies from students in Arts, Science, Commerce, and Vocational streams.
The evaluation will be conducted under strict security measures to ensure fairness and accuracy.
According to CHSE Examination Controller Prasanta Kumar Parida, all evaluators must complete their assigned work for the day before leaving the center.
Their entry and exit times will be recorded, and mobile phones and electronic devices are strictly prohibited inside the evaluation centers.
On the first day, each teacher will check five answer sheets, and from the second day onward, they will evaluate ten papers per day.
Though the exact date is yet to be announced, results are expected to be announced between May 10 and May 15.
