Bhubaneswar, Mar 19: Under tight security cover, the evaluation of Matric exam answer sheets conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) commenced today.
BSE President Srikant Tarai had announced that the results will be released in the first week of May.
According to the BSE, the evaluation process will begin sharply at 10 am every morning and will continue till 5 pm.
Additionally, the teachers, instructors, and staff involved in evaluation process have been directed to remain on the premises during the evaluation hours and have also been restricted from carrying mobile phones.
According to reports, as many as 11,800 teachers have been deployed for the evaluation process with advanced security systems in place at the evaluation centres to prevent any malpractices.
At each evaluation centre, a camp officer, a chief observer, two deputy observers, and two supervisors have been deployed by the BSE to ensure the smooth and fair evaluation process. Additionally, over 300 data entry operators have been mobilized to upload the marks online. After the evaluation, the marks will be uploaded online on a daily basis.
The board has issued a warning that strict action will be taken against anyone engaging in unfair practices during the evaluation process.
It is worth mentioning that the annual High School Certificate (HSC) examination was conducted by the BSE from February 21 to March 6, 2025.
This year, 5,22,336 students registered for the matric examination, but more than 15,000 were absent.
