Boudh, April 7: In a major crackdown on ganja smuggling, Boudh police in Odisha seized ganja worth over Rs 20 lakh and arrested three persons in this connection.
The arrestees have been identified as Jitendra Mahakul, Nilanchal Ghibila, and Duryodhan Bishi.
Acting on a tip-off, Adarsha Police conducted a surprise raid near Badabankapada and seized two quintals (200 kilograms) of ganja worth over Rs 20 lakh.
The cops also seized a car and a motorcycle used in the smuggling.
Police have taken the accused trio into custody for questioning in this connection.
Further investigation into the matter was underway. Strict action will be taken against those involved in such illegal activities, said the police.
