Bhubaneswar, February 25: Odisha Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan held a review meeting today to assess the final preparations for the upcoming Lingaraj Jagar Jatra, set to take place tomorrow (Wednesday).
Accompanied by Bhubaneswar Ekamra MLA Babu Singh, Bhubaneswar Mayor Sulochana Das, and temple trust board officials, Harichandan discussed the arrangements for the holy event dedicated to Lord Lingaraj.
Emphasizing the need for coordination among all involved parties, Harichandan urged officials, employees, and volunteers to fulfill their duties efficiently to ensure the event runs smoothly and the devotees’ experience remains orderly.
During the meeting, it was stated that the Mahadeep will be lifted atop the Lingaraj temple at 10 PM, marking the culmination of the day's religious activities. The discussions also focused on the involvement of employees, volunteers, and voluntary organizations in managing the event effectively.
Key arrangements that were addressed included traffic management, parking, water supply, electricity, emergency services, fire safety, sanitation, CCTV surveillance, security measures, and the setup of temporary health camps.
