Sundergarh, Mar 7: In a gruesome incident, a man brutally murdered his wife over suspicion of having an extramarital affair in Rajamunda area of Odisha’s Sundergarh district.
The deceased has been identified as Emen Oram.
As per reports, the accused, identified as Mangal Oram, used to physically abuse his wife on a regular basis suspecting her of having an extramarital affair. A heated exchange of words ensued between the couple over the issue and later took a violent turn when Mangal, in fit of rage, bludgeoned Emen’s head with a brick leading to her death on the spot.
Upon being informed by the locals, Sundargarh Town police arrived at the spot and arrested the accused. The cops also seized Emen’s body and sent it for post-mortem.
Further investigation into the matter was underway.
