Bhubaneswar, Mar 5: At least one was killed and four others sustained critical injuries after a group clash broke out between two families reportedly over witchcraft practice in Tusura locality of Odisha’s Balangir district.
The deceased, identified as 40-year-old Sushant Bag, was allegedly stoned to death and later his head was also severed from his body.
As per reports, the incident took place at Athagaon village under Tusura police limits in the district when a group clash broke out between two families over a long-standing feud due to witchcraft practice and later took a violent turn.
The four people who sustained severe injuries in the clash were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Upon getting the information, Tusara police arrived at the spot and took stock of the situation. The cops also seized Sushant’s body and sent it for post-mortem.
Further investigation into the matter was underway.
