Cuttack, Nov 24: A Bangladeshi minor girl, who was allegedly forced into prostitution, has been rescued by the Odisha Police in Cuttack. The victim, who is believed to be a victim of human trafficking, was found wandering near Link Road in the city on November 9th.

According to the Child Welfare Committee (CWC), the girl was lured to India by a man she met on Facebook, who promised her a job. However, upon her arrival in India two months ago, she was taken to Kolkata and then to Bhubaneswar, where she was forced to work at a massage parlor and allegedly coerced into prostitution.

The victim has identified five individuals, including two women, who were involved in the sex trade. She has provided their addresses and contact numbers to the police. The CWC has submitted a letter to the Cuttack DCP, urging them to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter.

The Madhupatana police have registered a case and formed a special team to investigate the circumstances surrounding the girl's arrival in India. The Cuttack DCP has stated that the girl entered India without any valid documents and that the matter will be reported to the Bangladesh Embassy.
