Bhubaneswar, October 7: The job aspirants who staged a massive protest in Odisha's capital have called off the strike today.
After a discussion with the state government officials, the protesters decided to withdraw their demonstration in the evening.
The protesters had alleged severe irregularities in the Revenue Inspector and Amin recruitment examinations conducted by the Odisha Sub-Ordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC).
The protesters demanded action against officials involved in the alleged misconduct of the examinations.
A key concern raised by the aspirants was the selection of a blacklisted company to conduct the exams. They pressed for a detailed investigation into the matter.
The protestors said that their agitation was a warning to the state government to take immediate steps to ensure transparency in the recruitment process.
The aspirants also cited technical issues during the examinations. They alleged that the exams were marred by computer malfunctions at several centers, particularly an exam center in Bhubaneswar, preventing them from completing the test properly.
They were demanding the exams be re-conducted offline and organized by a reputed agency to ensure fairness.
