Bhubaneswar, Mar 17: The Odisha government has reserved 25% of the seats for underprivileged children.
The Paradarshi Portal for educational inclusivity will be operational from March 18, 2025, through which parents will submit online applications seeking admission for their children.
The first phase of student registration will run from March 18 to April 20, along with document verification from April 3 to April 23.
Schools will be allocated through the lottery on April 24, and admissions would take place from April 25 to May 7.
The second phase application shall commence from May 26 onwards.
This will, however, be led by the Directorate of Primary Education, aimed at closing the gap of inequality in education and providing quality learning opportunities to the economically weaker section.
The states' move comes at a significant step towards equity in education, ensuring that no child is left behind.
