Bhubaneswar: Defending champions Odisha rugby 7’s women’s team and bronze medalist men’s team started strong at the 38th national Games 2025 at Uttarakhand on Wednesday. They secured back-to-back wins on the opening day of competition.
Odisha women;s team left no room for doubt in their campaign opener to clinch 57-0 victory against host Uttarakhand, similarly in their second match they edged out Delhi 29-5. However, the Odisha men’s team won over Bihar and Delhi by 29-0 and 10-5 respectively.
Odisha women’s team placed in Pool-A along with West Bengal, Delhi and Uttarakhand. Odisha men’s team placed in Pool-B alongside West Bengal, Bihar Delhi.
