Cuttack, Mar 30: Several coaches of the SMVT Bengaluru-Kamakhya AC Super Fast Express (Train No. 12551) derailed near Nirgundi close to Manguli Chowdwar railway station in Odisha’s Cuttack today.
As per reports, the mishap occurred when the train was traveling from Bengaluru to Kamakhya. Fortunately, no casualties have been reported so far.
Following the derailment, panic-stricken passengers were seen getting off the train.
Upon receiving the information, railway officials rushed to the accident site to assess the situation and begin necessary action. Reports indicate that several passengers were injured and have been admitted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack for treatment.
