Kendrapara, Apr 2: In a dramatic turn of events, a youth was mercilessly thrashed by the villagers after he proposed a married woman via Facebook in Aul locality of Odisha’s Kendrapara district.
The youth, identified as Sudhir Sharma of Sorisha Sada village, was later handed over to Aul police.
As per reports, Sharma got the woman's phone number through social media and expressed his love for her. He even went to her house to confess his feelings. However, the woman informed the villagers about the incident.
Angered by this, the villagers severely beat Sharma black and blue to show their disapproval. Later, they handed him over to the Aul police.
Further investigation into the matter was underway.
