Rishikesh (Uttarakhand), March 9: On the inaugural day of the Yoga Mahotsav at Parmarth Niketan Ashram, prayers were offered for the Indian cricket team's success in the Champions Trophy final. A Puja and Havan yagna were conducted on Sunday, with Yogis and devotees coming together to perform the sacred rituals in hopes of ensuring victory for India.

The final match between India and New Zealand is going on at the Dubai International Stadium today. Across the country, supporters have been engaging in various activities to cheer on Team India. In Prayagraj, the transgender community organized a 'havan' for the team's triumph, while supporters in Kanpur gathered at the Radha Madhav Temple to perform their own 'havan', praying for India's success in the final clash. In Varanasi, cricket enthusiasts assembled at the Sarang Nath Mahadev temple to conduct an ‘aarti’ and offer prayers for India’s victory.

In Amroha, Uttar Pradesh, an artist named Zuhaib Khan created a six-foot-long wall painting of Indian captain Rohit Sharma holding the Champions Trophy aloft. “As an artist, I wanted to celebrate the final match between India and New Zealand today, so I created this wall painting of Rohit Sharma lifting the trophy. I hope my dream comes true,” Khan said.

Fans across the nation are confident in India’s performance, particularly due to the team's strong bowling and batting lineup. Cricket coach Saif Ahmed expressed his belief in India’s victory, stating, “I am certain that India will win the Champions Trophy today. Our biggest strength in the final is our spin attack, with four world-class spinners in the lineup, giving us a significant advantage. Considering the team's balance and form, I believe the trophy is coming home, ending our 25-year-long wait.”

The final promises to be a thrilling match, and the Men in Blue are determined to avenge past losses to New Zealand, including their defeat in the 2019 ICC World Cup semifinal and the 2021 ICC World Test Championship final.
