New Delhi, January 29: The Supreme Court of India on Wednesday directed the Patnagarh Trial Court in Odisha’s Balangir district, for early disposal of the Patnagarh parcel bomb case.
While reviewing the bail pleas of the mastermind Punjilal Meher, the apex court ordered the subordinate court to complete the hearing of the trial of the case before one-month time.
Earlier, the Orissa High Court had set a deadline to ensure the case’s expedited resolution.
The fierce bombing incident, which occurred on February 23, 2018 in Patnagarh, tragically resulted in the death of two individuals.
One Punjilal Meher, a college lecturer had hatched the game to kill his Principal’s daughter and her spouse during the couple’s knot ceremony.
