Bhubaneswar: After Vicky Kaushal starred Chhaava portraying chattrapati Shambha ji Maharaj's fight against the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb’s tyranny went on to become a big blockbuster, another period thriller showcasing the first revolt against the Aurangzeb led Mughals is hitting the silver screens on March 28.
The film titled Veer Mallu starring power star Pawan Kalyan, currently Dy CM of Andhra Pradesh, is now ruling the BookMyShow ranking list.
With 153.3K likes, Pawan Kalyan starred Veer Mallu is leading the BMS showbiz, Superstar Salman Khan starred Sikandar is at the second spot with 140.1K likes (interests).
SIKANDAR RELEASE DATE CHANGED?
As per reports, the Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment has not announced any official date of release. Since films are released every Friday (for the reason of the following weekend that help maximizing collections), the buzz doing around is Salman Khan starred Sikandar may hit the silver screen on April 30 (Sunday).
It needs mentioning that Salman Khan starred Tiger3 was released on Sunday (November 12,2023). Salman Khan fans are not ready to accept Sunday release as Tiger 3 business was not as per the expectations from a Salman Khan starred movie.
Tiger 3 made on a budget of 300cr saw huge footfalls on the opening day. Reports then suggested that Tiger 3 recorded more footfalls than Yash starred KGF and Shah Rukh Khan starred Dunki. It has collected 44cr on its opening day. The lifetime footfalls Tiger 3 had recorded was estimated at 15mn, which has been almost half of the 2017 flick Tiger Zinda Hai.
Tiger 3 has earned a net domestic collection of Rs 285cr in its lifetime. The film was declared Average. For which, fans are not ready for Sunday release – both in terms of film economy and precedence
It seems the producers are toying with the idea of Sunday release as Pawan Kalyan starred Veer Mallu is releasing on the Friday (March 28), and the film is currently leading BMS show chart

The part-1 of the action-adventure period-thriller Sword vs Spirit is set to hit the silver screens on March 28.
As per the teaser of the film released, it portrays Pawan Kalyan (veer Mallu) a warrior who arrives in Hyderabad during the Mughal era to set things right and fight for the oppressed. The teaser introduces Bobby Deol as Mughal Emperor Aurangazeb. When feudal lords and local kings loot the people and cause great hardship, Hari Hara Veer Mallu steps in to teach the rulers a lesson. Power star Pawan Kalyan plays the titular character.
The historical story tells that Veer Mallu infiltrated Aurangzeb’s forte to re-claim the Kohinoor diamond. The film also has this in its climax scene.
