Puri, Dec 27: Formal invitation to deities and religious institutions across the state are underway in view of the inaugural ceremony of Puri Shrimandira Parikrama Project, slated to be held on 17th January, 2024.
The officials of Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) accompanied by servitors on Wednesday accorded invitations to different deities and religious institutions across the state.
A team of servitors led by the SJTA delegates visited Angul and accorded invitations to Lord Jagannath, the presiding God of the Saila Shriksheta, situated near the Maa Budhi Temple in Angul Town today.
Angul district Collector Sidharth Shankar Swain and Saila Shrikshetra Temple Management Committee representatives welcomed the team amidst a devotional atmosphere and received the invitation.
Similarly, a team of representatives of the SJTA visited Samablpur and invited Maa Samaleswari and urged the servitors for their gracious presence on the inaugural ceremony.
Another team from the Puri Jagannath Temple visited the Maa Biraja shrine in Jajpur and invited the Goddess with performing traditional rituals.
Apart from it, different teams on behalf of the SJTA reached Paralakhemundi, Balangir, Boudh and Kandhamal to invite the presiding deities and the teams of core servitors. District administrations, office bearers of religious institutions and servitors of deities offered a rousing welcome to the teams and received the invitation cards.
