Bhubaneswar, February 11: In response to the growing number of divorces in the state, the Odisha government has been planning to establish mental health counseling centers across the region.
Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida said these centers will be named "Maa Ra Chhata" or "Mother’s Court." Their primary focus will be on offering counseling services to couples before marriage, aiming to improve mental health, prevent divorces, and foster a deeper understanding of marital relationships.
The initiative seeks to tackle the rising divorce rate in Odisha by equipping couples with the necessary skills and support to build stronger, healthier marriages. These counseling centers will be spread across various locations in the state to ensure accessibility for couples throughout Odisha.
This effort represents a significant step toward building a more supportive and inclusive society. Through guidance and resources, the government hopes to reduce divorce rates and promote the well-being of families, encouraging more stable and harmonious relationships.
