Sambalpur, February 12: Despite stricter anti-ragging enforcements on campuses, another incident of ragging has surfaced at VIMSAR Burla recently.
Acting on a parent’s representation, the VIMSAR authorities have formed a committee in order to probe the allegations.
According to reports, a few 3rd year students allegedly tortured a 2nd year guy a while ago.The victim reported his ordeal before the parents who later moved the Dean’s Office urging action against the offenders.
Responding to media persons, Dean Dr. Pradeep Mohanty said, the office has acknowledged such a complaint which is under enquiry.
Stern actions will be initiated against the offenders, after the submission of the committee’s report, the dean added.
