New Delhi, Feb 15: Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday for his approach to technological advancements, specifically in drones and artificial intelligence (AI).

In a post on X, Gandhi shared a video illustrating how drones have transformed warfare, integrating batteries, motors, and optics to enhance maneuverability and communication on the battlefield.

He pointed out that drones are not just a single technology, but the result of bottom-up innovations fueled by a strong industrial ecosystem. Gandhi expressed concern that PM Modi has not fully understood this dynamic. While the Prime Minister speaks about AI, Gandhi argued that India’s competitors are swiftly advancing in emerging technologies.

Gandhi emphasized that India must focus on developing a robust production base, rather than relying on mere rhetoric. He underscored the country’s vast talent, scale, and potential, calling for a clear vision and genuine industrial capabilities to create job opportunities for the youth and establish India as a global leader in the future. "India has immense talent, scale, and drive. We need a clear vision and real industrial strength to provide jobs for our youth and lead the nation forward," he added.
