Bhubaneswar: Salman Khan and Aamir Khan’s cult classic Andaz Apna Apna is making a grand comeback on the big screen after 30 years.
The 1994 comedy, loved for its humour and iconic characters, will be re-released in cinemas on April 25. Fans are eager to watch the duo’s comic timing on the big screen once again.
The makers first announced the re-release in November 2024 during the film’s 30th anniversary celebrations. The family of the late producer Vinay Sinha shared their plan to bring the film back for a theatrical run in the summer of 2025.
Now, the official date has been confirmed and audiences can relive the madness of Andaz Apna Apna next month.
ANDAZ APNA APNA CLASH WITH GROUND ZERO
In an interview to a newspaper, Vinay Sinha’s children, Namrata, Priti, and Amod Sinha, has revealed the re-release date of Andaz Apna Apna. They also opened up on a possible sequel.
They shared, “Recently, Aamir bhai mentioned that Salman sir and he are keen on doing the Andaz Apna Apna sequel. We are thrilled that they both are excited, and in light of this, we will start talks with them right after the re-release of Andaz Apna Apna on April 25.”
They further shared that discussions with director Rajkumar Santoshi have been going on for years. “Talks with Rajkumar Santoshi ji have been ongoing for years. It also includes those during our father, producer Vinay Kumar Sinha’s lifetime. However, nothing concrete has been finalised with him till now. We will make an official announcement as soon as discussions with the actors and director are complete and a strong script is locked.”
TRAILER TO DROP TOMMORROW
The 1994 Andaz Apna Apna also stars Raveena Tandon, Karisma Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, and Shakti Kapoor in iconic roles. To build excitement, the re-release trailer will be dropped on April 1.
However, Andaz Apna Apna is not returning to big screen alone. It will face stiff competition at the box office from Emraan Hashmi’s latest release – an intense action thriller Ground Zero.
Backed by Excel Entertainment, the film promises a gripping experience.
Adding to the clash is Ne Zha 2, a Chinese blockbuster that has already earned a massive $2 billion globally. Since it has performed well in non-Chinese markets, expectations are high for its release in India.
