Bhubaneswar: The comeback movie of Salman Khan seems to be doing big business on Day 1. The advance booking for the much awaited movie of Bhaijaan begins on Tuesday.
With 4 days left for the release of the Sajid Nadiadwala film, when the response nationwide on day 1 has been enthusing, the report from Bhubaneswar has been superb.
While the Capital City will be holding a high of 53 shows on the opening day (Sunday March 30), the big trend in the Capital City revealed is all the national chains – PVR, INOX – have jacked up their ticket prices by 70 -123%.
The Sikandar shows will increase to around 80 in the next 24 hours.
The high ticket prices and enthusing response suggest the Salman Khan going to mint big on the Day 1 and may record its name among the biggest openers.
Some cine trade experts like Rohit Jaiswal has been predicting the opending day collection at 51 cr.
This seems possible in the backdrop of jacked up ticket prices signalling heavy demand.
SIKANDAR TICKETS OVER PREMIUM SALE
How the ticket prices in the national chains have been jacked can well be understood from the following numbers.
- INOX – Bhawani and Symphony – tickets prices in the prime time have been jacked up to Rs 380 from Rs 170.
- INOX Regalia jacked up the prime time show ticket prices to Rs 340-390 from Rs 190
- PVR Utkal Galleria has hiked its prime time ticket rates to Rs 400-670 from Rs 200-Rs 450.
- Cinepolis too have jacked up its prime time show rates. The ticket prices are Rs 380-Rs420 from Rs 190-Rs 200.
With near doubling of ticket prices, and given the superb response to advance booking, the Salman Khan starred movie Sikandar seems going for a big opener on March 30 in Odisha.

Even after 48 hours of its release, and besides the trailer release of two more high profile movies Akshay Kumar starred Kesari Chapter 2 and action king Sunny Deol starred Jaat – the Salman Khan starred Sikandar trailer is trending at number 1 in You Tube. The trailer has till date grabbed 53 million views.
