Bhubaneswar, Jan 18: As part of its "Samvidhan Gourav Abhijan" initiative, the Odisha BJP announced on Saturday that it will organize seminars and intellectual gatherings at 50 locations across the state to raise awareness about the Indian Constitution.
BJP state president Manmohan Samal informed the media that while the campaign was scheduled to run from November 26 to January 25, there is a possibility of extending it by another week.
During this period, top party leaders will attend seminars and discussions at 10 different locations. Notable attendees include former Union Minister Anurag Thakur, who will be present at the state office in Bhubaneswar on January 20. On January 22, BJP national general secretary and Madhya Pradesh Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya will attend the event in Rourkela, while Leader of Opposition in the West Bengal Assembly, Suvendu Adhikari, will join a discussion in Sambalpur on January 27 to highlight the "glory of the Constitution."
Samal emphasized that the campaign is designed not just for intellectuals but also to reach out to the grassroots level, with the primary aim of engaging the general public in meaningful conversations about the Constitution.
"It is our collective responsibility to uphold the dignity of the Constitution. By respecting it, we will strengthen our country's democracy," he said.
