Bhubaneswar: Ranveer Allahabadia, who has stirred a hornets nest in his YouTube show India’s Got Latent with use of vulgar words, has drawn a lot of stinging flaks from the Apex Court of India.
Hearing the petition of the YouTuber for clubbing the multiple FIRs filed, a 2-Judge Bench of Justices Surya Kant and N Kotiswar Singh, though, has given interim protection against arrest, has berated the YouTuber for his choice of language in his You Tube show.
The big order the Apex court passed is it has restrained Ranveer Allahaabadia from hosting any other show for the time being.
The SC has, however, restrained the police authorities from registering any further FIR on the YouTuber on the said matter.

Hearing the matter, the bench has roasted the Youtuber for his choice of language. It described the language as “dirty” and “perverted.”
The Court asked the petitioner’s counsel Abhinav Chandrachud, “Are you defending the language used?
To which, Counsel Chandrachud replied, “As an officer of the court, I am disgusted at the language used.”
After this the Bench said the following:
“So what are the parameters of obscenity and vulgarity. In the society which has some self evolved values and when we behave within those parameters we want to know what are the parameters of Indian society according to the petitioner.”
The Bench then went on to observe: “The language used is prima facie amounted to obscenity.”
Justice Kant remarked, “ If this is not obscene then what is? You can show your vulgarity any time and show the depravity.”
Coming hard on Ranveer Allahabadia, Justice Suryakant observed the following:
“Such behaviour has to be condemned. Just because your popular you cannot take the society for granted. Is there any one on eart who will like this language. There is something very DIRT in his mind which has been vomited. Why should we PROTECT him.”
“The words which you have used , parents will feel ashamed. Sisters and daughters will feel ashamed. Entire society will feel ashamed. It shows a PERVERTED mind.”
SC QUESTIONS NEED OF CLUBBING FIRS
The apex court before granting interim protection asked the petitioner that there are only 2 separate FIRs, what’s the need of clubbing. The Benchsaid:
“There are only two FIRs. One in Mumbai, and the other in Assam. Liberty is a separate issue. It is not that every case is targeted you and your are entangled. Suppose 100FIRs are there he can say he cannot defend himself.”
At this, Allabahadia counsel Chandrachud replied, “A 3rd FIR was registered on Sunday.”
At this the Court said, “There are some allegations in one FIR and not in the other. Please he used obscene and filthy language against Governor of Arunachal Pradesh... so allegations are different.. if you kill one person and attempt to kill another then both 302 and 307 will be invoked.”
The court further said, “ If there are 2 or 3 FIRS you can defend yourself. Once you are entangled in so many FIRs there is a strong impediment against your right to defend yourself and thus court must protect you. But only because a litigant can afford and approach SC then I would like to know can court intervene in such case.”
At this counsel Chandrachud said, “One of the court accused has been threatened with acid attacks.”
He then highlighted another threat, “Ranveer Allahabadia ka zubaan kaatne wale ko milega 5 lakh”
Hearing this, Justice Kant said,
“So what you uttered such word for popularity and now threats are also issues for teh same. There were also threats against a sitting CM and we proceeded against his also. We know the threat giver was a poor fellow.”
When the counsel said Ranveer’s mother is also receiving threats, the court said:
“What embarrassment he caused to parents! We know from where he had COPIED the question. There are certain societies where they are warn those who are supposed to not watch the programme.. they mantain precautions.”
