New Delhi, Feb 22: Shaktikanta Das, the former governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), has been appointed as the 'Principal Secretary-2' to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
His appointment will be co-terminus with the term of the Prime Minister or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
PK Mishra has been the Principal Secretary to the PM since September 11, 2019.
Das had been the RBI Governor for six years. Both PK Mishra and Das hail from Odisha.
Das, a 1980 batch IAS officer, has vast experience in various areas of governance in four decades.
