Bhubaneswar, Jan 21: Four National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers of Siksha ‘O’ Anusandhan Deemed to be University (SOA) participated in a state-level adventure camp at Mahendragiri in south Odisha which was held from January 11 to 16.
The program was organised by the NSS Bureau of Berhampur University with 105 volunteers from 13 Odisha universities taking part in it. The students from SOA were Rittik Panda, Debidutta Kumareswar Tripathy (both from Institute of Agricultural Sciences), Laawanya Tiwary and Shreya Ranjan (both from SOA National Institute of Law).
The volunteers took part in several adventure activities including rope course, rock climbing and wrapping, hiking and zipline. The inaugural ceremony of the program was graced by Vice-Chancellor of Berhampur University Prof. Geetanjali Dash, NSS Regional Director Sarita Patel, State NSS Officer Ramesh Chandra Mishra, Youth Officer in the NSS Directorate Ajit Kumar Kushwaha and Everest conqueror Ganesh Chandra Jena.
