Bhubaneswar, February 21: Amid a massive unrest on the KIIT University Campus over death of a Nepalese inmate from a couple of days,Founder of the varsity Achyuta Samanta on Friday appeared before the fact-finding team constituted by the Odisha government.
Samanta accompanied by one of his associates deposed before the high-level committee led by the ACS & Home Secretary at the state guest house this evening.
According to sources, Samanta is expected to be quizzed regarding the death of the Nepalese girl and the illegal expulsion of the Nepali inmates from the campus.
Samanta was summoned by the Higher Education Department, government of Odisha on Thursday, following a diplomatic row over the incident.
The Director Higher Education, had directed Samanta to depose before the fact-finding team, constituted by the state government.
