Malkangiri, Dec 28: Three dreaded Maoists involved in multiple instances of attack on security forces have been nabbed by Odisha Police in Malkangiri district.
Based on precise intelligence input, Odisha Police arrested three hardcore Maoists (including one ACM rank cadre) having combined reward of Rs 8 lakhs from near village Gunthawada under Chitrakonda police station.
They have been involved in multiple cases of exchange of fire with security forces and involved in multiple criminal cases. The interrogation till now has disclosed that they were further planning on doing subversive activities in the area like attack on the security forces, said police in a statement.
The Maoists are identified as Swapna alias Chandrama Khilo, Babita alias Kamala Khilo and Sunita Khilo.
Swapna was carrying a cash reward of Rs 4 lakh in Odisha while Babita and Sunita were carrying a bounty of Rs 2 lakh each.
