Bolangir, Aug 12: At least three teachers who got jobs by allegedly furnishing fake certificates of their educational qualifications in Bolangir district are absconding.
The three teachers have been identified as Biranchi Prasad Nayak of Sureikela High School under Belpada block, Sanjibmani Mahanand of Ganapatrapalli High School under Saintala block, and Alma Topo of Govt Girls’ High School at Bangamunda.

Such a thing happened after the arrest of a Hindi teacher identified as Minamayee Panda who was working at Randa high school in the district for the last ten years by allegedly submitting a fake B.Ed certificate.
Sources said, the District Education Officer (DEO) here had lodged a complaint against four teachers for submitting fake certificates. He had also directed the headmasters of the schools to issue a show-cause notice to the teachers. Following this, Minamayee was arrested while the other three teachers are absconding.
