New Delhi, July 29: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan expressed grief over the untimely demise of Vice-Chancellor (VC) Central University of Odisha(CUO). “Pained by the passing away of Prof. I Ramabrahmam, VC, Central University of Odisha, Koraput. A fine human being with an impressive academic and teaching record, Prof. Ramabrahmam’s demise is a loss for the academic and intellectual world. May his soul attain sadgati,” said Pradhan on Twitter. wp:embed {"url":"https://twitter.com/dpradhanbjp/status/1420439518344220672","type":"rich","providerNameSlug":"twitter","responsive":true,"className":""} https://twitter.com/dpradhanbjp/status/1420439518344220672 /wp:embed Vice-Chancellor of the Central University of Odisha Prof I Ramabrahmam was under treatment at Indo-American Hospital, Hyderabad since July 12 treatment of lungs cancer due to post-Covid infections. Prof I Ramabrahmam joined the CUO on 6 December 2019. He breathed his last at 4.20 PM at the Hospital. His wife Laxmi Ramabrahmam and all family members were present at the Hospital. A condolence meeting was organized at the Central University of Odisha, Koraput in honor of the departed soul under the chairmanship of Prof. Sharat Kumar Palita, Vice-Chancellor (I/C). A two-minute silence was observed by the members of the faculty and staff of the University. The University flag was kept half-mast in his honor. Prof Ramabrahmam had a very vast and impressive academic as well as administrative experience. He as the senior faculty of the Department of Political Science, School of Social Sciences, University of Hyderabad (UoH). He did his PhD in Political Science from UoH and did his MA in Political Science and Public Administration from Andhra University. He has over thirty years of teaching experience and has published over 100 research papers in National and International Journals. He has also supervised more than 20 scholars and completed many research projects.
