Washington, Feb 14: U.S. President Donald Trump on Thursday gifted Prime Minister Narendra Modi a signed copy of his book ‘Our Journey Together’ during their meeting at the White House.
President Trump welcomed PM Modi with a warm hug at his Oval Office. In a response, PM Modi told "I am delighted to see you back at the White House."
During the joint press conference, Trump also gifted a memorable photo from his historic 2020 trip to India, where he visited the Taj Mahal.
When Prime Minister Modi arrived at the White House on Thursday (local time), President Trump welcomed him with a hug. The two leaders shared a warm handshake and greeting, with Trump saying, "We missed you, we missed you a lot." In return, PM Modi hugged Trump and said, "It's great to see you again."
Before his meeting with Trump at the White House, PM Modi held bilateral discussions with U.S. National Security Advisor Mike Waltz, Tesla CEO Elon Musk, Indian-origin entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy, and U.S. Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard.
